we all get there,
to come back here-
to follow back to the threads of life and pay respect
reconnect with the piece of clay in hand, and to the moment when the mind and spirit open to all the connections, to all the lives and the responsibility to use them well.
Slow down- it is a piece of earth you’ve got there. Give it a few extra minutes to engage with your breath before going on.
Remember it’s an experiment rather than a destination.
If insecurities and self-doubt appear, make yourself responsible for choosing what voices stay.
address those clouds-
where they come from? Why are they here?
stay in presence with the comfort of the earth. Find a tender edge, meaning beware of what is expected (on behalf of your experience with clay before and what you aim to create). engage in a conversation, ask-speak, pause, and respond.
And allow the exhale to blow clouds away! If they persist, check if they have a message or are just dust.
